Can You Sue The Church For Injuries That Occurred During A Services??

Reader don't we suppose to have control over our spirit?  The word of God let's us know that a person who don't have control of their spirit is like a city with the walls torn down. Anyhow, I found this post on social media.....please read and tell me what you think.

A very upset young lady posted the following on her wall detailing how her mother was physically hurt by someone in church while shouting, and how the church has since turned their back on her.

Most of this stuff we do in church God wants no part of. Let me share something that happened to my mom in church. Someone was so-called in the spirit and was throwing herself around and fell on a chair then both her and the chair fell on my mom and broke my mom's leg. She spent three months in rehab. The church visited her for the first two week in rehab and then you never saw them again. Never took up an offering or compensated her in any form. I got an attorney who is having a hard time building a case because no one in the church wants to testify on her behalf. They have all abandoned her.

The Pastor even had a nerve to lie in the deposition saying no one gets in the spirit like that in the church but thank God my uncle recorded a service where they were running around the church and throwing themselves all over in what I call a spirit cause it wasn't the spirit of God. Not every spirit is of God.

They had to replace the broken bone with a metal rod in order for my mom to walk again. This brought on many complications because my mom is a diabetic. She almost lost her leg due to lack of circulation and infection and is still struggling with this leg. This was the demonic spirit of religion at work. This doesn't represent the real body of Christ. Make sure you are under the right leadership and covering. If they don't know Kingdom then that means they can't teach you.

    1. Sound like you're on the devil's side. A woman was hurt (or attacked) and the other woman walked away with no injuries. Stop being a curmudgeon.

    2. So now you call these church folks the devil. Stop swirling in your own hypocrisy!

  2. Many Congregations Have This Spirit In Them During Their Services And Realize, It's Nor Of God. This Spirit Has Been Infiltrating The Churches Since The 1800's And Early 1900's Into The Present. In Many Of These Churches, There Is No Spiritual Discernment Of What This Spirit Is. They Believe It Is The Holy Spirit. Shalom

  4. Miss Ann,

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." (John 16:13).

Evidently the spirit in this church has nothing to do with the LORD Jesus Christ.

  5. Ms Ann, I hope you and your family cancelled your membership. The pastor lied to cover up the shenanigans going on in the church, so he is untrustworthy and lies under pressure. I don't get why anyone needs to hear the other side of the story. The only thing though, is that the Bible discourages believers to bring a suit against a fellow believer. 1 Corinthians 6:1

There ain't no Christian court I know of.

  6. I am going to skip the “CAUGHT UP IN THE SPIRIT” portion, which I think is a bunch of foolishness.

I am no insurance expert, but If this church OWNS the building this occurred in, they should have SOME FORM OF INSURANCE to resolve the issue.

But the church leaders and their behavior after the incident (If true) is shameful.

    1. Maybe its a bootleg church operating under 502(d)3.... How would they have insurance. What I do know is nowadays, most people do not want to do the right thing.
