Shame On Pastor Hope Carpenter, Wants Black People To Leave The Country.

Reader so Pastor Ron Carpenter wife Hope Carpenter on Sunday had the nerve to put up a controversial post that she now has been force to take down.....but not before it was screen shot. The post is below and it sends a mix messages to a mix congregation. Mine you, Redemption Church is a multi-cultural church that some described as "65 percent black."

(Things has gotten so bad that Pastor Ron had to do an apology video.)
https://www.facebook.com/pastorroncarpenter/videos/10155036930380838/

Church member:
I think what was the most disappointing/saddening thing about Hope's post is it sounded very similar to something our current president would say- "If you don't like it, leave." But then she goes on to say that Jesus promoted love, peace, honor, etc. How in the heck is telling somebody if they don't like something to leave their country promoting love, peace or honor?

70% of the NFL are people of color. When our president made his comment this weekend about kneeling, it wasn't hard to figure out who he was talking about. So now your wife makes this comment about not liking something so leave, it kinda makes you wonder "Well, who is she telling to leave?"

Doggone shame. You are suppose to be a pastor so you have to be careful what you say because it could really cost you.....especially while your telling people to leave the country.

The sad part is instead of leading people the right way.... Many are leaving these mega churches broken/bitter/hurt and totally messed up This truly a season of exposure!

  3. Wow...I had great respect and watched and followed Pastor Ron &Hope. I NEVER in a million years would have expected a post so in depth and punctuation in a way of. This is how I feel and if you don't like it I will block you from my page! My GOD. this post came from a Pastor with minorities from ALL walks of life? I am biracial I come from both worlds Black and White I have 4 biracial grandchildren whom I am very proud of. Growing up was a difficult road as I was born in 1959. We caught hell from both sides. Too dark for the whites too light for the blacks straight fact! So i teach my grands that you are the Apple of God's eye and to be the best Person you can be. It's SO easy for people to talk about something they NEVER lived and think an apology will fix it. As a Christian God requires me to Forgive. ..but it's very hard to Forget. Before folks speak their minds stop for a moment and think about what you're posting is it helpful or hurtful and make sure you KNOW ALL the facts as to why some things are done the way they are. IJS

  4. Hope Carpenter is the same crazy woman that had multiple affairs on her husband, he sent her away and said he was divorcing her, then brought her back a couple of hours later and asked the church to forgive her. I'm not sure we should take anything either of them say very seriously.

Yes we have all sinned, but Pastors should take that Oath with God more serious. She should have never been allowed back in the Pulpit.

  5. I am opposed to anyone who feels as though their opinion is the ONLY opinion towards any situation....and that responds to others with the statement "if you don't like it...MOVE...."!

This type of one-sided, narrow-minded, my way or the highway point of view coming from a public figure, a educator, a community role model, a CHRISTIAN is SIMPLY WRONG !

It baffles me how we/they can preach and teach the gospels of Christ....but are yet so quick to condemn, judge and throw stones. Have your transgressions been forgotten? Do you not remember the house of glass you live in?

And BTW...what is wrong with a non-violent "SILENT" protest? Isn't this what Jesus would do?

Racial profiling is never okay, not as an individual, not as a Pastor, not as a President...nor as a NATION! Re-evaluate your mind, spirit and heart! Then decide to take not just 1 knee, but 2 (pray)!
With LIBERTY & JUSTICE For ALL!?!?!?!

  6. This is the same woman who cheated on her husband then frowns on those not kneeling. I think God only has one problem here and it’s her adulterous ways.

  7. I feel if you're a member of that church you're only seen as a deposit slip! How could you belong to a church where you don't have access to your pastors?? What kind of church doesn't perform weddings or funerals?! What kind of pastor doesn't visit his sick members in the hospital?! This is why I dislike mega churches because there is a disconnect! I highly doubt her apology was sincere. Like someone commented on a article I saw earlier, she was about to f$#k up the churches money, is why Pastor Ron spoke up. That church acts like it's a social club and you gotta pay dues every Sunday to be a member! I considered joining that church in college when they were still new and I enjoyed myself. I went back last year as an adult and I would NEVER join that church, I didn't feel welcomed at all. Felt like I was at a movie theater or concert. A racist person will always show their true colors and issue a BS apology when their coins are about to be affected! Look at Jerry Jones and what he did Monday night. I'm a Cowboys fan, but that was fake and some BS!

  9. See, this is one thing I don't like. People can call the president racist and talk about people who don't kneel in protest, but as soon as someone says anything different, they are a racist, white supremacist, bigot, etc. This post is terribly misleading. She never said she wants Black people to leave the country. She believes people protesting are disrespecting the flag and that is perfectly fine. She has a right to believe that if she wants to. She spoke a lot of truth in her post. I've been trying to find out, what is kneeling doing exactly??? What will it change??? What has it changed??? You kneel and then what??? Can we as the church please preach the gospel and the Bible again??? That is the answer. The media has been so successful in creating this race division we now have. It is truly sad...

See, racism is very much PUSHED by the devil and those who want to fall for his tactics...2 Cor. 2:11.

My wife and I have raised our children in the fear (respect) of the Lord...NOT CULTURE. BECAUSE, as I have commented before..if they EVER disrespect their white German mother (she gave them physical life...IJS) and start talking this "I'm black stuff", "THEY WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME". God has set me free from this mindset of slavery and any other Fleshly division. In our relationship with God....Me, my wife, & children, KNOW who we are in Christ. So I don't have to go around trying to convince ANYONE to respect me because I am black or with some ancestry stereotype. "My preacher Dad taught me how to LOVE God "FIRST"...then let your Light Shine". Also, I don't have to worry about getting profiled, BECAUSE, I'm not doing anything wrong. That is why my family have the reputation we have in our community. If anyone thinks that I'm just another BOY..... WHATEVER! DOESN'T bother me at all. I'm "living" for God. So, I say, "Let God be truth, and EVERY man, a liar....BIBLE. In Christ Alone, RLR.

  14. She meant everything that she said it came from the heart. These White Evangelical Christians fail to realize that the national anthem is a song about slavery and the flag represents slavery. How an adultress that has a sexual addiction problem that hasn't. Stated that 45 was wrong for calling people's children SON'S OF BITCHES. She needs some mental health counseling herself. There's no disrespect for any professional athletics or anyone protested the national anthem. If these folks would read and study history and stop being so ignorant and racist towards the movement then they would understand. They are just afraid of people's being on ONE ACCORD. I guess all the law school professors at the prestige law school of GEORGETOWN LAW SCHOOL that took a knee was wrong also. It's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH. It's ok for 45 to say whatever he wants to say disrespectful and disgusting and profane language and none of these folks don't say anything.

  15. I'm just asking....where in the world do get the National Anthem and the Flag is about slavery? Did you serve in the military? I DID, 18 years worth. Well, if not, please (respectfully), you check YOUR history....IJS. You see, statements like this is what makes people [shake their head]. I don't like many of these Mega Churches Because many of them have...."LEFT THEIR FIRST LOVE".....Jesus Christ. This is why it is BETTER to trust in God than man. Btw, (my opinion), I doubt very seriously that she was saying Black people, move to Africa if you don't like it. Anyway, I stand for Freedom and Liberty under God...THE ONLY HOPE FOR US!! In Christ Alone, RLR.

What the world needs is salvation through Jesus Christ. Until we settle this sin issue man struggles with, everything else is just putting bandaids on scares that's beneath the skin.

    1. So aren't majority of the NFL players that took a knee black? Please stop with the pretending, y'all know damn well she was telling blacks to leave if we don't like being subjugated, used, abused & killed! Where dies this racist adulterer & y'all get off? It's amazing to me how white folks are always screaming, mainly at black folkafolks whenever we speak up on the racist conditions here in the US, to either "get over it" or "leave"! I mean, the natives have been telling y'all to leave for a long time, but you don't listen to them.... & they have every right to demand it! It irks me when she said "your history"! Dumb b*tch, stop & take some time from all the other d*cks you're hopping on to study Black history, for it is #AmericanHistkry! Maybe then, you & the racist idiots who think like you won't be so dense.

    2. SO what if a lil white supposed Christian woman tells Black folks to go back to Africa. People have been spewing that rhetoric for years. BLACK FOLKS ain't going BACK to AFRICA. All you have done is got emotional and upset over NOTHING, or at least to make YOUSELF feel conscientious for a couple of seconds. Now you come her with all your cussing and hollering about BLACK History and all your foolishness. Keep working through your flesh and eventually you will die, that same flesh going back to the dirt to rot and stink and eaten by WORMS. 19. CONFUSING, if nothing else. I know it pisses some people off for others to speak THEIR OWN "TRUTH", but look at the bright side of it, now you see the truth in that person's character and not that one shown in church and public "watch my facial expression" places. However, i do find it amusing that the same ones who dislike (shall we say) those of pigment, SEEM TO ALWAYS NEED AND RELY ON THEM!! Hmm, If any of YA'LL (LOL) of pigment would like to see change in those of no PIGment do better with this "new Trumartial law good ole boy" mentality, FUCK TAKING A KNEE, BURNING OUR OWN COMMUNITY, OR WALKING..........DON'T GO TO WORK, PUT THE BALLS DOWN, PRESS NO MORE CLOTHES, COOK FOR YOUR FAMILY TODAY...ALLDAY, MAKE SURE THE DUST IN YOUR HOME IS NOT VISIBLE THIS DAY, LET THEIR KIDS LEARN TO DANCE IN THE MIRROR LIKE THE REST, AND GO TO PIGMENT ONLY STORES.
FRANKLY PUT: IF YOU WANT THE PIGMENTLESS TO STOP THIS B.S., JUST LIKE A RELATIONSHIP, MAKE THEM MISS YOU!!!!!! I LIVE IN ARKANSAS AND THE SPANISH COMMUNITY DID A SHUT DOWN FOR ONE DAY,, I FELT LIKE SID ON ICE AGE, EVERYONE LEFT AND NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHING, LOL.

  20. Francis Scott Key was quoted by many sources as saying that blacks were a distinct and inferior race of people. "In fact, ‘land of the free’ was written by a slaveholder!” This was a quote from Smithsonian Magazine. In his history there was reported many cases where he fought against abolitionists for the sake of making sure that slaves- black slaves- still existed in the United States. With this as his background, it's difficult to respect his views, and assume that he's writing a song that represents the views of an entire country. The 1/8-1/32 of an inch of dark pigmentation on the outer layer of my skin does not make me inferior by any means. I am a Christian Pastor, with a multi ethnic congregation who we love fully and equally as the scriptures that has said- the love of Christ constrains us. I have an earned doctorate, and have been in racial battles where I fought for the equality of Whites being treated unfairly, as well as African Americans and Latinos as well as Women's rights and I have fought for the safety of Children in our schools against pedophiles and all sorts of other unjust displays. We should clearly check our hearts when we agree with someone who thinks this way about people of another race just simply because of their skin color and they assume themselves to be superior based on their economic status at the time. The Bible says it this way "A companion of the wise shall be made wise but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." When Jesus died, He died for all men regardless of race or skin color ethnicity or whatever we'd like to brand these distinctions as. That being said, since He was the price that paid for us to be able to come back to God in peace, we can conclude that God proclaimed equal value for us through His Son-because he didn't pay more for whites than blacks, or blacks than whites-he paid the same price for both! If that's how God sees it, then as a Christian that's how I see it! I'd rather agree with God then man about my value and I certainly do not agree with Francis Scott Key when he assumed that because I have dark skin I'm somehow inferior. I will never teach my children or grandchildren to believe in such nonsense and regardless of race color or ethnicity I would hope that the adult readers that have children or grandchildren would not teach them this fallacy either. My final point is this point where the Bible comes home: there is a term in the scriptures called "iniquity." The term iniquity is actually defined as in-equity or inequality when you look it up in the original languages. If I or any great songwriter as an African American man choose to write a song and tell this country to embrace it as the song that represents the national sentiment, while (hypothetically) I have a background of saying that whites are an inferior race of people, then tell everyone to put their hand over their heart and sing-along in agreement with me, I believe that this discussion would be quite different at this point. As soon as an injustice has to be taken personally by the one who may be causing the victimization, my how the situation changes!

    1. Duane Greene, I was very moved by the content that you shared and I sincerely thank you for standing up to defend those of other races, thereby putting yourself on the frontlines. I am black person who too has had to be an advocate for multiple ethnicities, that is why I am saying what Hope said, I did not perceive came from a place of racism. Nor would she have the context of how the National Anthem was written. For me, I am glad to hear both sides of the argument because there is a gray area where there is actually agreement. However, a place of understanding will never be reached until we hear from multiple viewpoints and really hear one another. That is when empathy happens and the healing occurs.

  22. I am a black person who covers Hope Carpenter in the name of Jesus. I fully support her. Nothing in the FB post she made came across as racist. She was standing up for the National Anthem and the United States Flag. Hope has every right to express her point of view. I am glad that I live in a country that I can hear a differing opinion and that that person's head is not cut off or sent to prison for years for dissenting beliefs. Sometimes when God is trying to address the root of a problem, He sends a messenger whose words will offend to achieve balance. When Jesus sends the Holy Spirit into my life, so much of what He disciplines me about cuts like a knife (Hebrews 4:12). Why can't people allow others to have their point of view without personally vilifying that individual? For Hope, I say speak on. I am not going to put a muzzle on your mouth. I love to see women have the courage to stand in their viewpoint unashamed or unapologetic when there is a righteous cause.

Moreover, I can tell that it is more likely than not that most of those who have these harsh comments against Hope have never been to other countries where their freedom was at stake. Matthew 12:25 "A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand". Hope was encouraging black people to not give up the fight but rather to find a better way than to desecrate the National Anthem and our Flag. Our disunity is creating a breach that can be exploited by a foreign control to destroy us a country.

I will also conclude that I have grace for the Colin Kaepernick's as well who have been moved by conviction to bend their knee rather than stand for the Flag or National Anthem due to the injustices that have been done at the hands of black men, killing off our race. My point is, I can see the place of where both positions are coming from and respect both sides without personally attacking either party when what they are sharing is not coming from a place of hate or personal contempt toward another. Let's increase our capacity to not look at each other through such a narrow lens but see the best in people.
