5th Sunday "Hymn"

Changed by: Tramine Hawkins

Sunday's Question!

Your Love Is It Growing?

"Responsive Readings" (Sunday)

Then His mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called Him. A crowd was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, "Your mother and Your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for you."
And He replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"
And looking at those who sat around Him, He said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."
Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for a fish, will give a snake instead of a fish? Or if the child asks for and egg, will give a scorpion?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to His mother, "Woman, here is your son."
Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.

5th Sunday "Family & Friends day"

Today's prayer: Precious Lord, take my hand,
lead me on, le me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn
Thru the storm, thru the night,
lead me on to the light,
take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home. When my way grows drear,
precious Lord linger near,
when my life is almost gone
hear my cry, hear my call,
hold my hand lest I fall;take my hand precious Lord lead me home
When the darkness appears and the night draws near, and the day is
past and gone, at the river I stand, guide my feet hold my hand; take my hand
precious Lord, lead me home.

He Knows Just What I Need!(Prayerful Monday)

There are times when I want to do wrong,
so I go to God in prayer. He comforts me and He
guides me along. He knows just what I need.
He knows just what I need. He alone decides for
me. Tho' temptations come, He is always there, He knows
just what I need. He knows just what I need, He knows just what I need.
Some times in His permissive will He
lets me have my way. When I've fouled up and
can't retreat He's there to guard my stay.

Sunday's (Responsive Readings) " Black Women"

Today, O Lord, we honor black women-carriers and cultivators of culture. In a lush African garden, your hands fashioned her as Mother of Creation. Bless her now as she continues to pass culture on to future generations.

Thank you for black women, Lord. Their descendents have blessed the earth.

Bless black women now, Lord, as they continue to educate and lead their people.

Strengthen black women, Lord. Their genius has enriched the earth.

Bless black women now, Lord, as they fight against injustice through strategies for hope, survival, and advancement.

Empower black women, Lord. Their bravery has ennobled the earth.

Bless them now, Lord, as their moans and hums, whispers and shouts make our land beautiful.

Inspire black women, Lord. Their beauty has adorned the earth.

Black women prayed and preached, healed and helped faithfully at all times. As prayer warriors, they knew how to trust you, O God, especially in times of trouble. Their triumph has sparked fire in our souls. May the lighgt that radiates from you today cast beautiful patterns on our lives through them.

We rejoice now, O Lord, with black women everywhere. Thank you, Lord, Their work blesses the earth.

"OLD HYMN" (THURSDAY)

This old hymn takes me back to the days when I lived with my grand mother. She used to sit on her front porch and sing [sang] that old hymn.

Remember me, remember oh Lord, remember me.
Father I stretch my hands to Thee, no other help I know.
If thou with draw thy self from me, Oh whither shall I go?

"Tuesday Praise" (Welcome Into This Place.)

Welcome, into this place, welcome into this broken vessel.
You desire to abide in the praises of your people.
So we lift our hands and we lift our hearts
as we offer up this praise unto Your name.

"I Stood On The Bank." (James Cleveland)

This song remines me of my mother home going and grandmother.
Have you in your own heart stood on the bank and watch love one go home?
painful as it is, through the grave yard is the only way the soul can go home.

Responsive Readings

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me;
He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners;
To proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion-
To give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.

Hymn!!!
